Information is Per Henrik Svalastog and Jørgen Knudsen from Tromsø and Bergen, Norway. Per Henrik Svalastog is an architect, and has previously made music together with a.o. Geir Jenssen (Biosphere), and new age composer Erik Wøllo. He was one of the norwegian technopioneers in the early 90's, when he played on clubs and raves as DJ E-C-T. Jørgen Knudsen works as a composer, and has previously been in New Wave and Country bands. He is currently working with the theatre group BAK-Truppen, and as a composer for coreographers and dance-companies.

Together, they have made music for theatre, film, television, etc the last 4 years. The music can be loosely tied to the arctic ambient sound, and moves from the melodic and rhythmic to the dark and avantgardistisc. It is however not primarily a product of inspiration from the techno/ambient-genres, but is rather a product of their various referances and collaborations. Their music is built up of sounds and themes from their output the last 4 years. Information is known for their collaboration with artists in other genres, they have worked with writers, computer craphics, painters, performance artists and sculptors. Live they collaborates with jazz sax player Erik Balke. Inspiration from these refereces are collected under the Information logo, and a series of limited 12" releases who now are collected on the "Artifacts" CD.
